BAKTI DESA

Bakti Desa

Bakti Desa is one of the Compulsory Programs of SMAN 3 Bandung for students of class XI. Class XI are all obliged to attend this village service. Bakti Desa is located in Cibeureum Village, Kec. Kertasari, Kab. Bandung. It's located quite far from my school because it's located on a plateau.
In this Bakti Desa, we were divided into several groups. Each group contains 3 to 4 people. Each group, we were placed in the homes of residents who were there. Each occupies a different RW. At that time, our class XI Science 2 got RW 28. At that time I was in a group with Adam, Nicolas, and Michael. However, for one thing, Michael could not take part in the Bakti Desa. We were placed in the house of Pak Endang, Chair of RW 28.

On the first day, we gathered first at SMA 3 Bandung. Then, at around seven in the morning we left for Cibereum Village. The trip takes approximately 2 hours to the destination. When arriving at the Cibereum Village, it is felt that the temperature is cold because it is on a plateau. Arriving there, we gathered first at the village head's office. There is an opening that was opened by the head of Cibeureum village. After opening, we walked to the house we were going to occupy respectively. We went straight into his house and introduced him to the ladies and gentlemen who would take care of us for the next 3 days. Before going around the village, we had lunch first. Although it's simple, but the food is really good. After lunch, we took a break and then we went out to meet our friends. We traveled around the village, we walked to the hills where there were lots of tea leaves. Then we returned to our homes. That night, because there were no activities, we just stayed in the room and talked to each other.
